API hydrometers are manufactured specifically for the testing of oil and petroleum related products as recommended by the American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM), they are made in accordance with National and International standards and can be supplied with Works or UKAS Certified Calibration Certificates traceable to National Standards.

Available in either long or short form calibrated @ 60°F.

Scales are based on the formula Baumé = 141.5 -135

API ASTM Hydrometer

In accordance with ISO (International Standards Organisation) these API ASTM hydrometers are specifically designed for the testing of oil and petroleum related products. This series has been adopted by ASTM as the standard for petroleum hydrometers. They fully comply with the exacting specifications of ASTM E100 and can be supplied with Works or UKAS Certified Calibration Certificates traceable to National Standards. Available in either long or short form calibrated @ 60°F with Specific Gravity Sp.Gr. scales for light and heavy liquids.
