Please note certain factors influence the passage of light from the oximeter into the fingertip that could affect the accuracy of readings.  These factors may include a darker skin pigmentation, false nails, nail polish and fake tans. We highly recommend measuring regularly over a period of time to establish a base level, and then monitor any changes from this level. If you are concerned about your condition/health or any changes in your SpO2 level, always consult a healthcare professional for advice and guidance.
